LET’S MOVE YOUR MINING PROJECT INTO PRODUCTION.

About t8

I’m Aaron Calhoon, President of T8 Mining.

I am a mining engineer with decades underground — doing everything from running a jackleg to managing large projects. I fell in love with underground mining as a kid, working as a nipper in Ouray, Colorado by age 12, and I’ve never looked back. Over the years I’ve worked every side of the industry as a miner, engineer, project manager, and superintendent across the Western U.S. and Australia.

As a Navy SEAL veteran, I learned to evaluate plans ruthlessly, weighing every angle before taking action. In the SEAL Teams, a bad plan could fail the mission; in mining, it can derail a project. I’m not afraid to tell you if your idea is dead in the water. But if there’s a way forward, I’ll show you how to make it happen.

I want to see great projects succeed. Nothing compares to helping a mine move from discovery to production — and nothing frustrates me more than watching good projects sputter out because of mistakes in development. As a consultant, I help prevent those pitfalls. I turn plans into rock moved, headings developed, and mines brought to life.

precision planning for narrow veins

I’ve spent much of my career in large, mechanized mining, but my enduring passion is narrow vein projects. They demand creativity as much as precision: comparing and adapting methods to the geology, then approaching the deposit with surgical control. I bring big-project expertise to smaller, high-potential ventures where finesse makes all the difference.
